Reiki Client Agreement
Terms & Conditions, Informed Consent & Waiver
1. Nature of Reiki
Reiki is a complementary, energy-based practice intended to support relaxation, balance, and general well-being. Reiki is not a medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.
Reiki services are not regulated by the NHS and do not replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic care.
2. No Medical Advice
The practitioner is not a medical doctor, nurse, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other regulated healthcare professional. No medical, mental health, or therapeutic advice is provided.
Clients are advised to consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any physical, emotional, or mental health concerns. Clients agree not to delay, replace, or discontinue medical or mental health treatment as a result of receiving Reiki services.
3. Eligibility
By booking a Reiki session, the client confirms that they are 18 years of age or older, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and are legally capable of entering into this agreement.
4. Voluntary Participation
Participation in Reiki sessions is entirely voluntary. Clients may stop a session at any time and may decline any technique or aspect of the session without penalty.
5. Client Responsibility and Disclosure
Clients agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding their physical, emotional, and mental health as relevant to the Reiki session.
Clients remain fully responsible for their own health, well-being, decisions, and outcomes before, during, and after Reiki sessions. The practitioner is not responsible for issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate disclosures.
6. Payment Terms
All Reiki sessions require payment in full at the time of booking. Appointments will not be confirmed, reserved, or held without receipt of full payment.
Prices are subject to change without notice, except for appointments already booked and paid for.
7. Refund, Cancellation, and Rescheduling
7.1 Client Cancellations
Clients may cancel an appointment by providing written or electronic notice no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled appointment start time to receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled appointment time are non-refundable. In such cases, the appointment may be rescheduled one (1) time only, subject to availability and at the sole discretion of the practitioner.
7.2 Failure to Attend (No-Show)
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice constitutes a no-show. No refunds will be issued for no-show appointments.
At the sole discretion of the practitioner, a one-time reschedule may be offered; however, no refund shall be provided.
7.3 Rescheduled Appointments
All rescheduled appointments are final and non-refundable.
If a client cancels, reschedules, or fails to attend a rescheduled appointment for any reason, the appointment fee shall be forfeited in full, and no further rescheduling or refund will be permitted.
7.4 Late Arrivals
Clients who arrive late may receive a shortened session to avoid disruption to subsequent appointments. The full appointment fee remains payable regardless of session length.
7.5 Practitioner Cancellations
If the practitioner is unable to provide services due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, the client will be offered the option to reschedule the appointment at no additional charge or receive a full refund of fees paid.
The practitioner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential costs incurred by the client as a result of such cancellation.
8. Non-Transferability
Appointments and payments are non-transferable and may not be assigned, gifted, or transferred to another individual without prior written consent from the practitioner.
9. Results Disclaimer
Individual responses to Reiki vary. No guarantees, representations, or warranties—express or implied—are made regarding outcomes, benefits, or results.
10. Assumption of Risk
Clients acknowledge that Reiki may involve physical sensations, emotional responses, or changes in awareness, and that such responses vary between individuals. Clients voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in Reiki sessions.
11. Limitation of Liability and Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, the client agrees to release, waive, and hold harmless the practitioner from any claims, demands, actions, or liabilities arising from participation in Reiki services.
Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable UK law.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By booking, purchasing, or receiving Reiki services, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by this Reiki Client Agreement in its entirety.
